Kling 3.0 character reference from a turnaround pack
Kling 3.0 keeps a character consistent with Elements: a saved set of reference images that you call by name in the prompt. Here is how a character pack fills an element, the exact element we used for nine ads, and Kling's own limits.
What Kling allows
Checked 2026-10-11- An element holds 2 to 4 images: 1 main image (front-facing is recommended) and 1 to 3 more from other angles or with details.
- A character element can also bind a voice from a 5 to 30 second recording.
- Kling VIDEO 3.0 Omni can also build a character element from a 3 to 8 second video of one character.
- Per generation, Kling VIDEO 3.0 Omni takes up to 7 images or elements (4 when a video is attached); Kling VIDEO 3.0 takes up to 3 bound elements.

Option A: an identity element from the three views
This follows Kling's advice to show the character from different angles. Use it when the character changes clothes or turns around in the shot.

Our nine ads used option B below, so this setup is Kling's guidance applied to the pack, not something we have filmed yet.
Option B: the element we used in all nine ads
Each ad keeps the character in their work outfit, so every image in the element already shows that outfit. Here is the one from the Wen Li × Strawberry Cream Puffs ad, named @wen.

Write the prompt
Start every video prompt with the element name and a fixed description of the character, then the action and the camera. Below is the template and the prompt we actually sent for one shot.

Start from a first frame
Every clip in our ads was image-to-video: we first made a still of the shot with an image model from pack images, checked the face, outfit and props, then gave Kling that still plus the element. The pack's two video first frames are ready-made stills if you just want the character on screen.
When the character drifts
- The face changes when the character turns
- Use option A so the element contains the side and back views.
- The outfit or colors drift
- Name the garments and colors in the element description and repeat them in every prompt.
- Extra people or sudden cuts appear
- End the prompt with the negative line we used: no extra people, no scene cuts, no camera cuts.
